Limits of protection zones for present public utility potable water supply wells and wellfields that are permitted to pump a minimum of 1,000,000 gallons of water per day.
Adopted by Ordinance 07-13, May 16, 2007 into the Lee Plan (Map 08). Wellfield Protection amendment to Chapter 14 of the Land Development Code adopted by Ordinance 07-35 on December 4, 2007. Amended by Ordinance 14-10 on April 16, 2014

The protection zones are the result of groundwater modeling performed by Water Resource Solutions Inc., Cape Coral, FL, and presented in a report titled "Hydrogeological Analyses, Computer Modeling, and Supporting Documentation for the Lee County Wellfield Protection Ordinance Update, Lee County, Florida" dated March 2005 and revised April 2007.
